Walnut, Purple Heart, Yellow Heart Box
Figured Maple Top

Stafford Creek Corrections Center is the first facility in Washington State, and the fourth in the nation to charter an American Legion Post within the facility, Post 23. Every month, members of American Legion Post 94, from Lacey, WA, send Veteran Service Officers into the facility to assist incarcerated Veterans with military-related issues. Their work is absolutely necessary, and completely voluntary.

This box was crafted to show appreciation for their assistance. It was given to Post 94’s representative at the Post 23 Charter celebration, on 15 January 2020.
Crafted from walnut, yellow heart, and purple heart. The lid is figured maple.
